The devils in the detail when creating the perfect Gin and Tonic

  • Use a high ball glass with plenty of ice
  • Pour over 50 ml of Triple Six
  • 150 ml of tonic water.
  • Slice of Lemon or Lime

Choose a quality tonic water that doesn’t overpower the botanical taste of the gin itself. We like Fever Tree or Fettimans Indian tonic water.

The ratio between gin and tonic can be varied according to how you like your drink but for the perfect Gin & Tonic the tonic you shouldn’t drown the taste of gin. A 1:2 or 1:3 ratio is best so 100ml of tonic will add a refreshing sparkle and 150ml will give a slightly more diluted taste.

Lemon or Lime? Well we prefer a traditional slice of lemon however Lime does add a little more zest and is a very suitable option.
